Venture to…
After our 20th trip to Walt Disney World and helping countless friends plan their Disney vacations, we decided to share our passion of all things Disney (and travel)! With an entrepreneurial spirit, we’re here to help you plan your next adventure.
Ben & Amanda
Ben and Amanda are Architects and founders of a successful design firm in Franklin, Tennessee. (Hey y’all!) After their first trip to Walt Disney World together, they were hooked. Their passion for the art of storytelling and the engaging designs by Disney Imagineering kept drawing them back. They looked for creative ways to return to the Parks every chance they could get (sometimes slipping in a Park visit after professional conventions). Then came kids! Now as a family of four with an artistic background (the boys too!), they have an even deeper appreciation for the magic of a Disney vacation. That, and good quality family time, is what makes Walt Disney World so special to them. When not at home, you can find them roaming National Parks in their 5th wheel RV, setting sail on a Disney Cruise, or escaping reality at Disney and other theme parks (looking at you Universal).
Why Book with Us
We LOVE Disney! Not just a little bit! But a lotta bit! We love to travel to Walt Disney World, a Disney Cruise is our happy place, Disney+ is our most watched app, and we read Disney blogs for fun! When we are done with our Disney trips, we are saaaaad. Not just because our trip is over, but because all the planning is over too (and we love planning).
Through Ventureland Travel Co., we share our knowledge and passion for travel to plan your next magical (or relaxing) vacation.
We are in the parks often and keep up with all of the latest news, specials, and exciting offers from Disney, Universal, and Norwegian. Where will you venture next…
Ventureland Travel Co is fully licensed, insured, and bonded.
We had some fun (but also struggled) answering these questions about our favorites. Ben really is not into picking favorites and this may be the last time he answers these type of questions!
More About Us
-
Amanda: That’s like choosing a favorite child! It’s not possible. — Buuuuut if I had to choose, it’s Epcot. I like walking around the world and eating all the delicious food. There is just something about Epcot that feels nostalgic to me. Plus I love the Epcot ball - ya know, Spaceship Earth!!
Ben: Umm. Hollywood Studios. Oh I don’t know, maybe it’s Epcot. Ok, Hollywood Studios. Because, Galaxy’s Edge.
-
Amanda: That’s another hard question!! My favorite ride to EXPERIENCE is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. My favorite ride to RIDE is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. And my favorite nostalgic ride is a tie between “it’s a small world” and The Haunted Mansion. Sorry, I couldn’t choose just one.
Ben: That’s easy - it’s close call - but the win goes to Cosmic Rewind. Most nostalgic, that’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
-
Amanda: Chef Art’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs. I dream about the hushpuppies and pimento cheese.
Ben: Oh, I have to think about this. My favorite quick service is Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. And I just like all food at Epcot’s “Food and Wine Festival”.
-
Amanda: Oh goodness. I would say it’s watching the fun our boys have while at Disney. The look of awe when they were younger meeting Mickey to the pure joy they feel now when getting off of Smuggler’s Run. Those unforgettable, special memories with our boys that I will cherish. That annnnnd that time our youngest, he was 2 at the time, almost feel asleep in his mashed potatoes at Epcot; good head catch Ben!
Ben: Man, ((he’s thinking about this)) I don’t like picking favorites. All of them. Ok, my favorite is when our family met Mickey the first time.
-
Amanda: Oh I really liked Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. I’m not really a huge thrill seeker (aka crazy roller coaster) person but that ride was the perfect mix of thrills and fun!
Ben: It has to be Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure because it’s so awesome.
-
Amanda: Eat!! The food is so good at Universal, especially the doughnuts.
Ben: While technically a ride (but not really), I really like riding Hogwarts Express, the train between the two parks.
-
Amanda: I enjoy our time together (or apart when the boys checked into kids and tween club) where we get to just slow down for a bit. Not to mention, it’s so great not having to pack and unpack to see multiple locations (that’s why I like having an RV). Really everything about a Disney Cruise is fantastic.
Ben: The food! All. The. Food. So good!
-
Amanda: For real, I can’t answer this question!! Both!!! Theme park for non stop fun and excitement then end it with a cruise for relaxation.
Ben: Theme park.
